Fascia & Soffit Cleaning in Boise: A Cleaner Roofline While We're Already Up There

Fascia and soffit collect the same grime, tiger-striping, and mildew that build up on gutters, just below the roofline where nobody looks from the ground. We rinse both clean as part of every gutter cleaning and repair visit, no separate ladder trip required.

How to tell

Signs your fascia and soffit need attention

Most homeowners never look up close at the fascia and soffit until the grime is already obvious from the driveway.

Dark streaks below the gutter

Tiger-striping, the dark vertical streaks running down the gutter face and onto the fascia, is oxidation and grime carried by rainwater running over the edge.

Green or black spotting

Shaded, moisture-prone corners of the soffit and fascia grow mildew and algae faster than the rest of the house, especially on north-facing eaves.

Grime that dulls white trim

A build-up of dust, pollen, and road grit turns white fascia and soffit gray over a season or two, and it can hide early paint failure or soft wood underneath.

What's included

What we rinse while we are up there

This is a rinse bundled into the visit we are already making for your gutters, not a separate service call.

Included

Fascia face rinse

We rinse the visible fascia board face, clearing tiger-striping and general grime that has run down from the gutter above.

Included

Soffit vent rinse

We rinse the soffit panels and vents under the eave, removing surface grime, mildew spotting, and cobwebs that build up in that shaded strip.

Included

Gutter exterior rinse

We also rinse the outward-facing side of the gutter itself, not just the trough, so the whole roofline reads clean, not just the part that holds water.

What this is, and what it is not

This is a rinse: hand-washing grime, tiger-striping, and mildew off the surface. It comes bundled into a gutter cleaning or gutter repair visit, since the ladder is already up. We do not send a crew out to rinse fascia and soffit as a standalone job separate from gutter work.

It is also not a repair. If we find soft or rotted wood behind the fascia or soffit while we are up there, we will tell you honestly and point it out. Repairing rotted wood itself is carpentry, not gutter work, so that is something to have addressed separately before we rehang anything against it.

And it is not a whole-house exterior wash. We rinse the roofline area we are already accessing for gutter work, not siding, windows, or the rest of the house.

Not sure what your roofline needs? Call (208) 203-4508 and describe what you are seeing. The estimate is free either way.

Bundled at no extra charge

Book a cleaning or repair visit and the fascia and soffit rinse comes with it. No add-on fee, no second trip.

Why it happens here

What grimes up fascia and soffit in the Treasure Valley

A few things specific to the valley speed up the buildup.

Sprinkler overspray

Irrigation systems that reach the lower fascia leave mineral deposits behind as the water evaporates, especially on homes with sprinkler heads near the foundation line.

Cottonwood fluff & dust

Cottonwood seed cotton and blowing dust stick to any surface that already has a film of grime, which is exactly what a gutter overflow leaves behind on the fascia below it.

Shaded, north-facing eaves

Soffit sections that stay damp longest after a storm, usually on the north side or under mature trees, grow mildew and algae faster than sun-exposed sections.

Fascia & soffit questions

Fascia and soffit cleaning in Boise: frequently asked questions

What Boise homeowners actually ask about the grime below their gutters.

How much does fascia and soffit cleaning cost in Boise?
It is included at no extra charge when you book a gutter cleaning or repair visit. Ask us to take care of it when you call to schedule.
Do you clean fascia and soffit without also cleaning the gutters?
This is a rinse we do with the ladder already up during a cleaning or repair visit, not a standalone service we dispatch a crew for on its own. Book a cleaning and we will take care of the fascia and soffit in the same trip.
Can you repair rotted fascia or soffit?
We focus on gutter system work. If we see soft or rotted wood while we are up there, we will tell you honestly, and you may want a carpenter to address the wood itself before we rehang anything against it.
What causes tiger-striping on gutters and fascia?
Tiger-striping is oxidation and grime carried down the gutter face by rainwater, leaving dark vertical streaks on the gutter and the fascia below it. It is cosmetic, not structural, and it rinses off during a cleaning visit.
Will rinsing remove mildew stains from my soffit?
Most surface mildew and algae rinse clean. Deep staining that has set into porous or already-damaged material may lighten rather than disappear completely, and in that case we will tell you what to expect before we start.
Do you pressure wash the fascia and soffit?
We rinse by hand from the ladder rather than pressure washing, so we do not risk forcing water up under soffit panels or shingles.
How often should fascia and soffit be rinsed in Boise?
Same schedule as your gutters, twice a year for most homes. If you are a recurring customer, the fascia and soffit rinse happens automatically every visit.
Does this help before selling my house?
A clean roofline is one of the more visible curb-appeal details a buyer notices walking up. Bundling a cleaning with a fascia and soffit rinse before listing is a low-cost way to make the exterior look cared for.
Do you serve Meridian and Eagle for this too?
Yes. Fascia and soffit rinsing is included with cleaning and repair visits across Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, and Garden City, the same as our regular gutter service area.
